This burr is designed to cut across a very long, heavy nail.  It literally saws off the nail at the desired length so you can use the Medium Coarse Fantastic Burr to finish thinning the remaining portion of the nail.  This is the only wat to reduce that three inch long nail without painfully twisting the nail. 

 

NOTE:  This burr bends easily and is very easy to loose.
