Carbide Cone burrs are designed to reduce both excrescence and nails. The density of the carbide chips lies between the Fantastic Burrs and the Diamond Burrs. They are not as aggressive as the Fantastic Burrs, yet have more of a cutting surface than the Diamond Burrs. These burrs are excelent in reduction of heel fissures, and moderate callus tissue. The point of the burr is outstanding in the reduction of the very small "seed corn" (IPK). The point has carbide chips right out to the end and the very tip will actually dissect the smallest IPK or nucleus you can imagine. Use very light pressure, watch very closely and you will debride that minute "pin corn" better and with less pain than ever before. The burr does well on callused nail groves and moderate hypertrophied nails. The coarse burr will reduce an excrescence on the dorsal surface of an extreme hammertoe very well as well as the "flat" callus surface of the lateral side of the fifth toe and metahead.
CAUTION: These burrs are longer than most and are quite pointed. It is easy to puncture a patient. It is not recommended to use between the toes.
