This burr is a member of the FINE grain, Fantastic Burr "family."  It is designed to reduce both the callused nail groove and the lateral boarder of a heavy hypertrophied nail.  Just lay the burr along the nail groove and work it both medially and plantar as it removes the heavy nail and also the callus tissue.  Use very little pressure,  this burr will do its own cutting, so go easy.  Also, the distal end of this burr is very good for the nucleus of Heloma Dura.  The Fine Skinny will work equally well when used in either direction.
