This burr is designed to be used on the very thin, light corn, soft corn, or thin nail.  The carbide chips that make up the cutting edges are smaller and take a smaller bite.  It will reduce a "regular" nail quite rapidly, and can be used in the large callused nail grooves. It works quite well on small plantar corns (IPK).
