| Overview
The Fantastic Burr is armored with a myriad of sharp
metal carbide teeth. The significance
of this is that these burrs will debride excrescences as easily as
they do hypertrophied nails. The teeth extend out to the tip of the
burr and will debride a soft corn, IPK, or deeply imbedded Heloma
Dura. The Fantastic Burr does not create either the heat associated
with steel burrs or the dust created by a diamond burr.
Podiatrists are
literally able to “brush away” the excrescence by a series of very
light strokes across the surface of the lesion. This is done at
drill speeds as low as 5,000 or up to 35,000 rpm. The carbide teeth
are electro-welded to standard 3/32nd shafts in a random
pattern allowing the burrs to be utilized in either direction.
These burrs are designed to work in professional podiatry drills.
The life expectancy of these burrs varies greatly. However, normal
use should yield over five years of use.
