Dr. Ed Sparks, DPM started his practice in the mid 50’s. Over the years he built a large practice focusing on basic, reoccurring foot treatment. Many of his patients were diabetic and he even served for many years on the board of the local diabetic foundation. Fifteen years ago, after careful research, he developed a method of treatment that virtually eliminated the use of blades as the primary instrument in reducing corns and calluses. This was a welcome concept for his older patients. This was the beginning of E.R.N.

“A burr is a burr” is a very misleading statement. Fantastic Burrs are just as their name suggests – they are fantastic. They perform where no other burr can and last like no other instrument. It is not at all unusual for a Fantastic Burr to perform for five years and as effectively as one fresh out of the package. Another major difference can be seen in what comes from the burrs. Our burrs generate less dust and more chips which, being heavier, fall down and are not inhaled. Cheap diamond burrs generate unwanted dust. Another MAJOR difference is in the performance. They use the cutting power of a blade combined with the control of a pencil. This makes them truly Fantastic.

Our list of products includes more then just a nice little set of four round good-for-nothing burrs. We sell thirty different and distinctive burrs. These burrs range in size, shape and style, from the most aggressive to the best smoothers and one that could almost be called the all-one-one solution - “The Happy Burr”. This is our single most requested burr, and one with which our doctors have been truly “Happy”. Over time, other products were brought under the E.R.N. umbrella. Fantastic Burrs require a Fantastic Drill. Working with Ram Products we created a drill that would bring out the best performance in all of our burrs.

Our product list also includes a desktop Ultrasonic cleaner, burr cleaning brush, burr blocks and a redesigned dust vacuum.
